THE ACT OF LYING
is an eighteen year old student, artist, and poet from New York City. Their interest in writing began one fateful day in a high school English class, and they have been writing ever since. When not scribbling new lines in their journal, Frances can be found reading science fiction novels and watching movies.
"My work is always inspired by small personal experiences. Through my language, I aim to bring these moments to life for the readers and show them why these moments are important to me. These three poems also grapple with identity and mortality; the works themselves are an expression of how I am learning to come to terms with both of those concepts myself."
